I Wasn’t Sure I Wanted Kids. Now I Teach Parents How to Raise Them
Welcome! I started out as a reluctant parent, became a mom of four, including surprise triplets, and eventually a reformed yeller.
For 25+ years, I’ve studied child behavior, worked with families, and raised four very different kids into adults building lives of their own.
My biggest shift came when I realized I could repeat myself, lecture, threaten and yell until I was hoarse…and still wake up to the same behavior the next day.
The problem wasn’t that my kids needed more correction. I needed a different way to respond.
So I went deeper into child psychology, combined it with real-life parenting, and started seeing the repetitive struggles differently. They weren’t random. They were predictable.
And once you can see what keeps repeating, you can change what happens next.
That’s what I teach parents now: how to know what belongs to you, what your child needs to learn to carry, and how to use clearer expectations, better timing and consistent follow-through to make that shift happen in your home.
Changing your child’s behavior isn’t about fixing your child. It’s about changing what they have to respond to.
Parents Tell It Best…
“Sue has provided me with many sage pieces of advice about parenting. Most important, she’s taught me how to keep the lines of communication open with my kids. She offers age-appropriate advice on ways to get my kids to talk to me and has taught me tricks on just how to respond so they keep talking to me. She’s made a huge difference in my parenting style.”
“I wish I could keep Sue in my back pocket to always have her with me! Her insights and advice have helped me every time I’ve not known what to do with my kids. Her ideas are imaginative, real, and they work. With my three kids spread out in age, she has always had a great understanding of every age and phase. She has feedback no one else will tell you and delivers it in a most colourful, blunt, and honest way.”
“Sue has a knack for seeing through details and cutting to the heart of the matter with clarity and humor. She says what I need to hear, not mincing words, and I feel the truth of her insights in my heart. Her perspective and wisdom have helped my journey as a parent and deepened the relationship with my children, which is ultimately the most valuable asset of all.”
